A disagreement has led to a clash between affiliates of the University Hall (Katanga) and the Unity Hall (Continental) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The disagreement arose between followers of two contending candidates of the SRC presidential position resulting in a number of students sustaining injuries and the destruction of school properties.
The clash occurred at the Great hall during their SRC vetting on Saturday night. Students in a video trending on social media were fighting amongst themselves and destroying school properties.
In a press release sighted by showbizafrik, the management of the university has suspended all activities concerning the SRC elections until further notice.
