‘God Will Help NPP To Break The 8’ – Diana Asamoah
Despite the country’s current challenges, Ghanaian gospel musician Diana Asamoah remains optimistic about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) chances of winning a third term in government.
She acknowledged that Ghana is facing a number of challenges, including economic difficulties. Nevertheless, she is adamant that the NPP can overcome the challenges and win another term in government.
When asked about the chances of the NPP breaking the 8 she said, “It shall come to pass and God will help us [NPP] to break the 8 and continue the governance in Jesus’ name!”
She added, “With the rate of the dollar, God has been good to us because the whole world was battling with COVID-19 so hardship exists everywhere. We are now striving to recover the economy.
“Foreign countries are using tax revenue to improve the country.” In Ghana, if you decide to tax the people, they will respond in an insulting manner. I pay taxes on a regular basis. So Ghanaians should be patient as the government implements measures to stabilize the economy.”
Diana Asamoah declared that she would be okay with whoever won the NPP primary and that she does not support any candidate.
“God chooses king so whoever wins I am fine with it,” she said.
The NPP primaries is scheduled for November 4, 2023.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President, Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central, Francis Addai-Nimoh, former MP for Mampong, and Dr Owusu Akoto Afriyie are the four candidates for the presidency.
