Gideon Mensah returns, Jordan Ayew starts: Predicted Black Stars XI for Sudan game
Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is aiming for nothing but a win and therefore will assemble his best eleven to start the vital game against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium today, October 10, 2024.
Although there will be a change in personnel, Otto Addo could stick to his desired 4-2-3-1 formation.
The return of Gideon Mensah will be a huge boost for the team as he will start on the left side of defence, joining regular names like Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, and Alidu Seidu to complete a solid back four in front of goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi.
The midfield will see a change in the regular pivot due to Thomas Partey’s unavailability. Majeed Ashimeru and Elisha Owusu are expected to start as the pivot for the game. This will be their first game together as a midfield pair.
On the wings, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku could start on the right flank while Jordan Ayew plays on the left, with Mohammed Kudus, who will lead as the captain, in the number 10 position.
In-form Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo is expected to lead the attacking line.
The game is slated for a 16:00 GMT kickoff.
